When Ravenstar had returned from her visit to Vultrixia, she had changed. Her looks were very much the same. Yet her powers and attitude were very much different. She had a strange aura about her – the black-haired alien girl seemed darker and snapped at every touch. She hissed when one would reach out to her; she would curse when one would talk to her. She was almost unbearable to be around. She would lock herself in her room, total darkness enveloping her. Her powers were much more powerful and harmful, even to the most indestructible of heroes and villains.
Today, however, was her worse.
She hovered above the wreckage of her own demise and anger, her eyes lit with the blood-red glow of Mars. Her hair was muddled; her figure was limp and unmoving, just floating; just staring down at her own chaos. Yet a smile played upon her beautiful face. Her eyes flickered to those who ran, blasting them down with the blood-red orbs that enveloped her hands. They fell in their place, unmoving. Dead as dead could ever be. Her eyes shot down the powerful beams that caught anything they touch on fire. Nothing was safe from the alien girl.
The shadowy creature that kept itself upon her, its ebony form massive and bloodthirsty like Ravenstar seemed to be. A raven, by the looks of it, the creature was, demented and twisted like the thing it kept itself protecting. The alien’s body floated within the protective shadow, able to control its movement and thoughts. Crimson eyes glued themselves to her victims, screaming like a siren as it flapped its wings. Black fog soon covered the sky as it began to ascend. Ravenstar laughed manically, her body twisting as she made it move into the darkness. Before long, the screaming citizens were quiet.
Everything seemed… Perfect – for now. They kept themselves wary and alert, yet were unaware of the sudden falling Shadow. It screamed, and with powerful wings spread and talons outstretched, the citizens were soon scattering like ants.

Post by Athena 'Shift' Logan on Oct 4, 2009 18:25:31 GMT -6
Shift crouched behind an overhang on one of the roof's around town, not too far away from Ravenstar - and the...thing that was gaurding her. Whatever was wrong with the alieness...well, it was really, really wrong. Shift hadn't known how to deal with the mood swings and the yelling and the power surge that had accompanied the red-eyed teen when she had returned from her home planet. 'Whatever the hell happened there, I really wish it hadn't!', thought the shape shifter, as she studied her cackling, floating teammate.
Athena waited for the rest of her team to arrive. She couldn't take down Ravenstar, not with how she was fighting now - the peirced teen wasn't ruthless, like Ravenstar now was. She didn't have the raw power, either. Staying crouched, the superheroine felt her heart sink as memories passed in front of her eyes; mostly of another Titan who had turned. Rena was bad, yes, and it had hut when she turned villainous, but the shape shifter hadn't ever felt as close to the teleporter as she did to the Vultrixian.
Shift didn't want to hurt Ravenstar, but...well, she had very little choice. She and the rest of the Titans would have to come down hard on her black-haired crush.

The city was a wreck. Smoke was spiraling out of a broken window out into the sky above, people were either running form someone who was causing a great amount of trouble or lying on the street, blood pouring out of open wounds and running into the street. The city had fallen apart yet there were still people fighting for it, but there was a titan missing from the group, Ravenstar. The wreckage was complete and now a figure in the sky was floating closer, unmoving in the still of the darkened afternoon sky.
There was a spirit on the ground crying, he couldn't be more than three years old, he had tears marking tracks down his face... he wanted his mother... all he saw was the black haired alien...
Serenity bolted out of bed, not even bothering to change and bolted right out of her front door forgetting her shoes. She had to warn the titans. Sure the police office wasn't really that important but this was. She didn't want the world to end like that. "ATHENA!?" she called to the empty street hoping someone would answer her.

(I can't really understand anything, so I'm making two posts for either situation))
(If Ravenstar isn't surrounded by the strange bird thing)
Rena sat watching from a safe distance. All this destruction, and needless killing, was getting on her nerves, she couldn't do her own buisness with all that going on.
"Blasted Vultrix" she said, not bothering to put on the 'ian' at the end, and disappeared from her perch on a light-post, stopping what she had been doing, which was teleport inside the bank vault, steal some money to buy a new motor-cycle and leave before anyone came to the vault.
She appeared right in front of Ravenstar, swinging a powerful kick towards her temple, to try and knock her out right away to avoid the dangerous fight with this powerful... thing.
Her hair was short, and pinned to the side this time, keeping her hair out of her eyes. This would either end badly for her, or Ravenstar, or... if it all happened the way it should, nothing too drastic would happen yet. But for now, this psycho-killer needed to be stopped.
(If she is Surrounded by the bird thing)
Rena sat watching from a safe distance. All this destruction, and needless killing, was getting on her nerves, and disappeared from her perch on a lightpost.
"Damned Vultrix" she said, not bothering to put on the 'ian' at the end, and disappeared from her perch on a light-post, stopping what she had been doing, which was teleport inside the bank vault, steal some money to buy a new motor-cycle and leave before anyone came to the vault.
She teleported, looking up at Ravenstar, her in a loud voice in Tammeranean. "/Ravenstar Why all this?!/" she asked was an indirect translation, the real one being something closer, with the attachment she had given to the name, 'Idiot' making it 'idiot ravenstar' but there was no direct translation for the attachment she had given, and 'stop it now', but with the ending she had added, it turned to a question, making it close to 'Idiot Ravenstar, Why not stop this?" though the term 'idiots' translation was much ruder than just idiot.
And then she added, in a completely seperate language, that was obvious from the slur of speech and the sounds she made, it wasn't too strange, as most tongued creatures with a bit of practice could produce those sounds. "/Damnit All, quit hiding, Ravenstar/" It was stark, the more common language of the cosmos, it had no true home, and was a combination of several languages, to treat as a diplomatic speech. Most races that traveled in the stars, all taught it in their version of schools.

((If you don't want a villain here, just let me know, I just saw that it was [Titans], and don't feel bad, it really only took about 10 minutes of time to type all that up, so it doesn't matter to me really))

The Shadow shifted into a massive monster, its wings now bat-like in appearance as it swung itself upwards towards the skies, spiraling before falling back into place, tossing what people it clenched in its mighty talons. A laugh of sinister jingles escaped the black-haired female as she kept herself poised within the shadow, her hands twisting and turning to control the massive black thing that enveloped her. She was perfectly clear, as if standing before it whether within it. With the evil smirk still glued upon her pretty, pale face, she twisted her neck, raising her arms as if in praise to the moon. The moon’s light radiated slowly downwards, a sparkly effect of lights floated softly towards the Shadow, energizing the thing. Another scream escaped its crooked beak.
Ravenstar, once hearing her own name, hissed in response, lowering her arms as if ready to strike. Her hands began to glow, her eyes soon colorless and dead. She scrunched her nose, her lips parted into a snarl as she screamed as well. The beast’s wings rose, arching at the tips, displaying the ghostly feathers of which adorned the Shadow. “My name is not Ravenstar! I am Voltor’mak, Queen of the Shadows!” Behind her upbeat voice lay an echo of thousands of voices. Dark and mysterious, it seemed to be females and males all mixed together to form a voice of omnipotence, almost Godlike.

Serenity came barreling down the street, her bare feet making no sound on the dirtied sidewalks, she had to get there to stop the queen of shadows before she took over Ravenstar completely. "Rena Athena, your here." she said as she glanced up at the queen, "Your majesty why have you come here?" she asked deciding that flattery was the best thing when talking to someone who obviously had an ego.

When the Shadow had spotted the little blonde girl, it tilted its head, lowering itself to her level before barely opening its beak. Ravenstar was watching, curious as to whom this one was speaking to her. She considered her Queen. Why, she felt even more powerful then before. She leaned upon a hip and smirked, placing a delicate hand upon her hips as she flipped a sheet of black hair from her shoulders. There was a laugh before a highly feminine and rather egotistical voice called out: “You ask too many questions. I can see right through you. Do you know who the Queen of Shadows is?” She asked. Voltor’mak’s voice was clearly visible within the young alien’s voice, and very much her body. “In a world of utter destruction one will raise a spirit of devilish demise.” She bent over as if speaking to a young child. Her hair fell over her shoulders in a cascade of millions of black tendrils. “Little Girl, you need not to worry of your city and your darling Ravenstar, for all is safe and well. You see, the Shadow of which you cast your gaze upon is a manifest of my true being. Of course, I would assume you would know that.” She chuckled again.
“Child, do you not see what I am? Standing before you is a girl who you may know well. One of which was stupid and ignorant, deciding to leave your precise Earth to find Vultrixia and to enter the desolate wastes of which I had destroyed. After all, a spirit does enjoy manifesting a human – or in a few other manners – aliens.” There was another chuckle before a booming laugh. Ravenstar’s body was straightened up, the smirk twisted on her face, and her hands twisted. The wing of the bird swooped across the blonde girl, hiding within them a circle.
“You decide to use flattery, I decide to create a test of wits and strength. Defeat Ravenstar to win her back. Or perhaps, choose to fail and have your precise planet destroyed. Your decision.” Ravenstar loomed over her, the alien’s eyes watching the blonde one.
ooc;; i think athena should fight ravenstar instead: it’s make a better scene of fighting. xDD serenity could help give out pointers.

((That's what I was thinking as Serenity is no fighter))
Serenity sighed but that was ll that made it seem like she was at all annoyed, "I don't believe that you answered my question." she said and looked up as Sorina cooed her welcome and flew through the black wing enveloping her to land on her shoulder, "So the end of the world." she said her black eyes darting everywhere.
Serenity nodded, the fear of what was happening showed on her face as well as the maroon symbol that marked her after a strong vision. That was when she saw the spirit of the boy looking for his mother, that was when a tear rebelled and slid down her face. "Yes." she whispered back.

Shift watched, and listened - and tried to control the fear and anger that this 'Queen of the Shadows' was bringing to the surface within her. And the haunting thing was that she could hear every word the two spoke clearly, as if she were standing next to the two of them and not thirty, forty feet away and crouched behind the jutting of some old roof. It made the shape shifters' fur stand on end, and left a bad taste in her mouth. 'It wasn't magic that caused this.', the teen realized with shock. 'The street is just so quiet their voices carry.'
Standing, and trying to ignore the thump-thump-thump of her quickening heart, the super-heroine leapt off the building and flew towards the duo, landing on the ground in boots as she shifted from dove to human. Her eyes darted from Serenity - who looked as scared as she felt - to Ravenstar...or the body of Ravenstar. Athena almost hoped that her freind, crush and teammate was dead, because then the alieness wouldn't have to go through all of what was happening and not be able to stop it. At least then she wouldn't have to deal with the repurcussions.
But those were pipedreams. Either Ravenstar was dead, or she was somehow trapped inside her mind while Voltr'mak ran rampant with her body. Her posture wary, Athena moved forward, half-stepping in front of Serenity to protect the precog if Ravenstar -- if the alien decided to attack. The shape shifter hoped that Serenity would use her common sense and run away - fast. "I chose to fight you.", Shift declared, eyes determined and cold as she tried to distance herself from the thought of fighting her best freind. "I accept your challenge, Voltr'mak."
